Being a Learner- Art

Wow we have some proud children showcasing their finished fabric and fibre art work. They used material for the trunk of their tree and carefully rolled wool for the flowers. They look fantastic on our wall. Come and check them out!

Being Respectful- Duffy Role Model Assembly

We had a fantastic Duffy Role Model assembly this morning where we had a visit from Dawn McMillan. She read us her story Mr Spears and his Hairy Ears and (requested by the children) I need a new bum! We had a great laugh and really enjoyed the visit and knowledge Dawn shared with us.

Being a Learner- Writing nature hunt

On Monday we went outside on a nature scavenger hunt. The children discovered all kinds of leaves, twigs, spiders webs, stones and even the odd animal dropping! They have enjoyed writing about their hunt this week.

GOLD AWARDS

Ka pai Olivia for receiving the Room 1 Gold Award.

Being a Learner- Kiwi Sport

In Kiwi Sport we were practising our throwing skills by throwing a beanbag into a hoop.

Being Respectful- Cultural Festival Practise

We were super lucky to have the chance to watch the seniors practise for the cultural festival. The children watched beautifully as their peers showcased their talents.

Many of the children's highlight was watching Mrs Narbey, Mr Shim and Mrs Geal get their dancing skills on!

We all joined together for a song before heading back to class.

You can see the full official cultural festival performance just here...
They did us very proud!

Being a Learner- Kiwi Can

Some more Kiwi Can fun this week. We played a few games outside which required our listening skills for the shark attack!
