We went to Willowbank to take part in the Kō Tane experience and to learn about animals. Room One, Two and Three went to Kō Tane first and then they went around the park in groups. Our students made the most of this learning opportunity and asked lots of questions. We all had a lovely day and each of us had a different favourite animal for different reasons.
Highlights were seeing the Kiwi close up, a real Tuatara, feeding the Eels, hearing the Cockatoo talk, seeing the baby animals and seeing the Kea on Miss Collins' shoulder.
Sasha's Dad was our Chief and led us onto Kō Tane. We learnt poi, haka and te rakau and then we shared our learning with the rest of our group.
What a great day! A huge thank you to all of the parents who came along and helped!
