Being A Learner, Being Respectful and Responsible: Discovery Time Term 3, Week 3

Each Friday we have Discovery Time.  It is our favourite time of the week.  Here are some photos of some of the people in Room One having a great time.  We practise taking risks, taking turns, making choices around our learning, making new friends, working with different people, our school values and lots of other things!  

Niu and Avonside Early Learning Centres Visit the Kakano Team

Over the last few weeks we have had Niu Early Learning Centre and Avonside Early Childhood Centre visit the Kakano Team at Discovery Time.  

It has been lovely getting to know some of the pupils who will join us later 

in the year or next year.  

We are looking forward to catching up with them again at our 

School Production later in the term.

Imaginz at Discovery Time

Last Friday we were fortunate enough to have Donna from Imaginz come and visit us at Discovery Time.  She brought two kits along and instantly our children were engaged in this activity and keen to build creations.  It was wonderful to see the children working together to create a construction using their problem solving skills.  A highlight of this equipment was that it came with tools that the children could use.
