Being Respectful: Elf on the Shelf visits Room 1

Today we Mrs Hayman brought over a surprise!  It was a parcel from Santa who lives in the North Pole.  It was so exciting!  Rooms Two and Three got a parcel too and they all looked different.
Inside our parcel was a letter, a key with a tag on it and an elf!
We were very surprised!  Santa has sent the elf to watch us to see if we have been kind.   Kyle thought that we should put him on the cupboard so he can see all us!

This is the envelope that we received!

Inside the envelope was an elf!

Being A Learner, Being Respectful and Responsible: Visiting Orana Park

Last Wednesday Rooms 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 all went to Orana Park.  We went by bus and we went as part of our Inquiry Learning.  It was great to be able to make real connections with our learning.  When we got to Orana Park we split into five groups and a Zoo School teacher took us around the Park.  Some highlights were seeing tigers and lions close up, feeding the giraffes and seeing the gorillas.   We saw lots of different animals in real life and it was amazing to see the size in real life.

Here are some photos from our day.

Being As Good As Gold

Well Done Fatai, Suritta and Nikita for getting Gold Awards in the November Gold Awards Assembly. Keep up the great work!

We also shared our Fabric and Fibre Artwork. We used the running stitch to create Dinosaurs, Monster, Fish and Owls.
